USA.NET and
TargitMail.com Sign Strategic E-mail Outsourcing Agreement
TargitMail.com Purchases Four Million Business Webmail Boxes From USA.NET in Multi-Million
Dollar Contract
Dec. 8, 1999--USA.NET, the world's largest e-mail outsourcer, and Global Technology
Marketing International (GTMI), LLC, the parent-company of TargitMail.com, a leading
provider of next-generation permission-based e-mail marketing services, today announced an
exclusive e-mail outsourcing agreement, in which TargitMail.com will bundle USA.NET Web
Messaging, a world-class Webmail service, into its integrated e-mail marketing solution
for businesses.
TargitMail.com will make USA.NET's e-mail outsourcing services available as a
complementary offering to their Web community partners, that they, in turn, can offer to
their own individual customers, free of charge. The agreement calls for USA.NET to manage
more than four million mailboxes initially, each of which generates ongoing revenue for
USA.NET.
"This partnership enables us to offer Web communities the ability to enhance the
stickiness of their sites, and generate advertising revenue at the same time, all with
zero cost," said Walt Rines, president of TargitMail.com. "Through our services,
businesses can leverage our integrated e-mail marketing solutions, while having the option
to offer USA.NET's feature-rich Webmail service to their individual customers -- at no
extra charge to them. Our Web site and Web community partners can now meet their
objectives, ranging from enhancing their site visitor experience, to generating marketing
revenue, to increasing brand awareness and customer loyalty."
USA.NET Web Messaging will enable TargitMail.com's customers to quickly implement a
scalable, full-featured, globally accessible e-mail service. USA.NET Web Messaging
includes advanced features like read receipt, junk mail blocker, language selection,
e-mail collecting, secure password exchanges and directory search. USA.NET Web Messaging
can be easily integrated and branded to reflect the look and feel of every
TargitMail.com partner's Web site, including their logo, colors and fonts.
USA.NET Web Messaging enables businesses to increase their site stickiness, enhance
customer loyalty and increase brand awareness. It also provides an effective vehicle for
companies to conduct one-on-one communications with their customers. "We're pleased
to be partnering with TargitMail.com, the leading provider of integrated marketing
solutions," said John Street, president and CEO of USA.NET. "Through this
relationship, USA.NET's reliable and industry-leading e-mail services will be offered to
millions of customers worldwide."
In the future, the companies expect to work together to provide additional innovative
e-mail services to TargitMail.com's Web community and service provider partners.
